HTC revenue keeps falling – 67% Lower than 2017
HTC posted another disappointing monthly result. In June, HTC revenue obtained NT $ 2.23m in unconsolidated revenues (€ 62m), which represents a 67% drop compared to June 2017, when it posted NT $ 6.89 (€ 192m).
Compared to the May numbers, which were also lower than last year, in June HTC still got 9% less revenue.
HTC’s results for 2018 Q2 show that it obtained unconsolidated revenues of NT $ 6,774m (€ 187m), which is 58% less than in the same three-month period of 2017 – NT $ 16,136m (€ 450m).
Analysts expect HTC to release fewer new phones this year. The once popular manufacturer sold its Pixel division to Google and will lay off 22% of its workforce in an attempt to modernize its operations and improve its finances.
